Tour Guide​

We are looking for fun and happy individuals to guide our animal encounters.  ​​

​

• Will aid in the care for exotic animals

• ***MUST HAVE ANIMAL EXPERIENCE!!!!!!! (Other than cats and dogs)

• MUST BE A MOTIVATED EMPLOYEE

• Must be able to work in the heat

• Must be comfortable around animals (Giraffes, Zebras, Kangaroo, Cows...)

• Must be able to work weekends

• Help with Admin work (spread sheets, answer phone calls)

• Must be able to communicate well with adults and children

Cleaning Staff​

We are looking for cleaning staff to help with the day to day cleaning of our Barn, Cabins, & Office

Barista / Bartender

We are looking for a barista that can make and serve unique coffee to our guests.

• Must be able to pour foam designs in coffee

• Coordinate Breakfast and Meals for guests

• Create menu items

• Self motivated and directed

• Willing to work weekends

• Creative and have ideas

• Friendly to staff and guests

• Goes the extra mile

• Able to obtain bartenders license

• Stocks and orders supplies

Requirements

• Must be 18 years old

  • Under 18 years old must have parents accompany them on every meeting​

• Background Check required

• Must live with 50 miles of Blue Hills Ranch

• 80 hour annual commitment​

• Must be able to life 50lbs

• Fill out application

Duties

• Habitat cleaning

• Enrichment research

• Diet preparation

Process

• Interviews are limited to open spots available

  • will be done as needed

​

Orientation​

• 4 hours​

• 1st Sunday of the month

• Passing score of 90% or higher must be achieved on final test

• Volunteers in school

  • must maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher

  • submit a behavior report from teachers

Safety

Blue Hills Ranch is a wildlife sanctuary and wild animals are within our property.  Please always keep a safe distance from all animals.  Injury or death can occur from wild animals.

Waiver

Anyone entering the property are required to sign a waiver.  Please stop up at our office (white house) at the street to sign the waiver.  

​

Cameras / Security

Blue Hills Ranch is monitored by a 24 hours security system.  Staff members also wear body cameras.  All footage remains property of Blue Hills Ranch

No Smoking Ranch

Outside Animals are not allowed out of RV area

No open flame allowed

Under 18 years old must be accompanied by and adult at all times

Wild animals are present and death or injury can occur

Not an ADA facility
